here is the problem:
you wash three loads of the same dishes, each with a different type of detergent, all in warm water. you also wash a fourth load of dishes with only warm water. identify the control, the independent variable and the dependent variable.|||independent variable is the detergents

a control is something you use to compare your intended changes in the experiment against.
